Job Description Form for HSE Coordinator
Required educational qualifications and experience for this position.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering
• At least 10 years of work experience in Oil & Gas industry
• At least five years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects, UAE experience will be preferable.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Shall be proactive and have good communication skills.
- Will be responsible for timely preparation, submission and getting approval on monthly progress quantities and submit the monthly progress invoices to client.
- Shall have experience in invoicing using ADNOC SAP Ariba platform.
- Must be able to understand progress measurement systems and S-Curves.
- Responsible for checking the measurement, re-measurement on quantities of the Work in line with the Contract progress measurement system through the Construction stages.
- knowledge in variation claims, EOT, reconciliation, final invoice, PAC, FAC, etc related to EPC Projects.
- Should have experience in Quantity surveying of EPC projects in billing (invoicing) related to Civil, Piping fabrication & Erection, Steel Structure erection, Pipeline works, Equipment erection etc.
- Should be able to evaluate and certify the work done quantities of Subcontractors and suppliers.
- Shall be able to calculate the Final Value based on drawings, documents released by the client from time to time.
- Assist Planning engineers for updating the work progress.
- Coordinate and collect the required inputs from site team for responding to Client’s letters.
- Shall have ability to prepare draft response letters to client along with Project Manager.
- Must be able to prepare forecast for each monthly invoice and submit it to head office.
- Should have basic knowledge of contract documents, bank guarantees and insurances for EPC Projects.
- Responsible for monitoring the performance of awarded subcontracts, service contracts checking and agreeing the accuracy of monthly payment applications during the life of the contract and at completion of the work.
- Shall be able to formulate change orders to existing subcontracts for change in scope and / or pricing.
- Maintains records and tracks Bill of Quantities and other measurements according to the approved technical drawings.
- Prepare estimation and costing sheet for additional works at site etc.
- Identifies and analyses the commercial risk of a project and informs the Site Manager.
- Support negotiations of claims, manage contractual changes and resolve disputes or conflict resolution with Contractors.
- Assess and prepare response to claim from suppliers and prepare counter claims and prepare defense
