Gopinath (“Gopi”) serves as Chief Commercial Officer at Penta Global, bringing over 35 years of experience in the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors. His extensive background spans multiple geographies, including the Middle East, Southeast Asia, North Africa, the Caspian region, Russia and India making him a seasoned expert in commercial strategy, contract management, and stakeholder engagement on a global scale.

Prior to joining Penta Global, Gopi held several senior leadership roles, including Group Head of Commercial at Petrofac, Contracts & Procurement Manager at Shell Markets Middle East, and Chief Services & Contracts Officer at Dodsal. In these roles, he was responsible for overseeing large-scale project portfolios and leading commercial negotiations for complex, multinational contracts.

Gopi has deep expertise in managing the full commercial cycle, from tendering, award, administration through to contract close-out. He is particularly skilled in navigating the legal and contractual frameworks that underpin EPC and service agreements.

Known for his collaborative leadership style and attention to contractual detail, Gopi plays a key role in ensuring commercial integrity, risk mitigation, and value creation across all Penta Global projects.

He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Diploma in Construction Contracts Law & Administration from Liverpool John Moores University.
